Welcome to planDisney, Sharon!
It sounds like you've got a really fun trip coming up!
If you'd like to book a vacation for a large group, I'd recommend calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations. You can speak to a helpful Cast Member who can make reservations for your large party. They can put a vacation package together for you, including accommodation and theme park tickets. If you let the Cast Member know what your budget is, they should be able to find something that is "practically perfect in every way."
Another option, Sharon, is to find an authorized Disney vacation planner. There are many no-fee agents who can help you plan and book your vacation in the most cost-efficient way. A simple Google search should bring up lots of different options.
Planning for such a large group can really feel like going "into the unknown." Here are some tips I like to share with Guests who are planning a vacation for a big party:
- Nominate an organized person in the group to lead in planning ahead.
- Consider one another's budgets. You don't want people in the group to feel pressured to spend more money than they can afford.
- Consider one another's travel styles. For example, some people might like sleeping in and enjoying a slower-paced Disney vacation. Others might like being in the theme park from opening to close.
- Make sure everyone communicates their expectations beforehand. Are there certain attractions, restaurants, or characters they want to experience?
- Make sure you plan times to be together as a big group and do your own thing. This is really key for us when we travel with other families.
- Let each person choose one must-see attraction.
- Use the Disney Genie service to help you plan your itinerary. Consider purchasing
Disney Genie+ and/or Individual Lightning Lane entrances to cut down your wait times.
- Make sure you carve out some downtime so that you can relax (this is especially important if you're traveling with young kids).
If you're considering staying at a Value Resort, I'd highly recommend
Disney's Pop Century Resort or
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Not only is the theming of these resorts amazing, but they both give you access to
Disney Skyliner.I hope that's helpful, Sharon. Thanks so much for choosing to be our Guest. Happy planning!
Mike
