Looking for a great place to have a late breakfast with DH while DD5 is on Pirate Adv. from POR. Staying at FW and will probably drive ourselves. Thanks for helping us plan our 2nd vacation to WDW. LOVE the panel. (we have DDP)

My family and I enjoyed breakfast at Boatwrights, the sit-down restaurant located right on-site at Port Orleans Riverside, last September.  The atmosphere there was very quiet and laidback, and provided a nice respite from some of the busier restaurants at Walt Disney World.  The food was good, though not remarkable, as well as decently priced.

I have another suggestion as well.  Port Orleans Riverside is within walking distance of its sister resort, Port Orleans French Quarter.  A leisurely stroll alongside the Sassagoula River would make a quiet and peaceful activity for you and your husband.  You might consider picking up some beignets from the food court there (the only place where they're sold at WDW) along with some fresh fruit and enjoying a casual breakfast in the shade along the banks of the river.

Since you'll be at Port Orleans anyway, I do suggest taking a few minutes to enjoy the gorgeous grounds.  We loved meandering along the pathways and stopping to admire the ducks that waddled ashore at the river's edge.  Whichever breakfast route you choose to go, you might consider spending a little bit of time taking in the theming at Port Orleans; it really is very charming!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
