Looking for a great bakery in WDW to really make the kids' eyes pop. They love pastries. Starring Rolls looks like the leading candidate. Is there anywhere else that can compete for quality and quantity? You guys are an invaluable resource. Thx.

    Hi, Patrick!

Mmmm...there are several bakeries in Walt Disney World that will truly make your children's eyes pop. (What a great idea!)

First of all, Magic Kingdom's Main Street Bakery will close in January and be revamped into one of two Starbucks in WDW. At the time of this writing, the Magic Kingdom Starbucks is set to open in early summer; menu items are expected to be similar to those currently offered in Disney California Adventure's Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe (also now a Starbucks.) Take a look at The Disney Food Blog for photos and more information (simply enter "Main Street Bakery" into the search bar on the blog site and look for the post made on Nov 9th, 2012.)

Starring Rolls is fabulous at Disney's Hollywood Studios, but we also like The Writer's Stop (Streets of America) and Beverly Sunset Sweet Spells (Sunset Boulevard); you can find unofficial menus and pricing on another unofficial site, allears.net. Just hover over "Walt Disney World" and click on "Dining." Next, select a park from the list on the left and then select the location whose menu you'd like to check out from the list provided.

Over at Epcot, you absolutely must go to Karamell-Kuche in Epcot's Germany Pavilion. To see why, take a look at "New Karamell-Kuche in Epcot's Germany Pavilion" by Debra Martin Koma on allears.net; her photos alone make my eyes light up with the memories of this wonderful little shop. Also try Boulangerie Patisserie in the France Pavilion. Yum.

Enjoy your bakery tour of Walt Disney World; your family is in for a treat...after treat...after treat...!

Send more questions as you think of them, Patrick. We love to help!
