Hi Morgan -
Thanks so much for visiting the Moms Panel. The Alaskan cruise is a wonderful itinerary with lots of picture perfect moments that are equally mesmerizing and jaw dropping. This trip is very different from the rest of the Disney Cruise Line voyages around the world. You and your family will surely have a wonderful time on this adventure.
During the days that you peel off your 4 year old from the Youth Clubs, you'll really want to bundle them up for a days' adventure out in frontierland. My kids really enjoyed the Port Adventure while at Juneau, called the
Best of Juneau. The Mendenhall Glacier stop was awesome, since my kids had lots of fun with the hands on activity that the forest rangers had waiting for them. It's an action packed adventure, that also takes you whale watching - you and your little one can sit inside the boat while you view from one of the large window seats. Just in case boredom creeps in while waiting in-between sightings - you'll want to bring something along to keep busy - or maybe a new snack might help too. We saw a few whales, lots of dolphins & sea lions as well as a dozen or so white bald eagles on this awesome adventure. Folks might be bringing their own little binoculars, so maybe your little one can have their own to wear around their neck. That will surely keep them busy - and I'm sure, kids will enjoy looking like one of the big kids around them. The trip to Orca point for lunch was pretty cool too, since there is also a hands on water discovery pool that the kids can check out after lunch.
I hope that this helps. Here's some
additional info to keep you excited about your upcoming trip!
Happy planning!
~Dolly
