    We are looking to go to WDW in dec 2010 but not sure where is the best to stay we were thinking about the port orleans th french quarter because it is small, my children 5 -8 then and.Is this the closest place to the parks, if not what is for this price

    Hi Tyler - I am assuming that you are looking for a resort in the moderate price range.  If that's the case, I don't think there's a huge difference in transportation times among the moderates.  There are deluxe resorts that are more convenient than Port Orleans French Quarter, but all of the moderates require a bus ride to the four major parks.

    I find the Port Orleans French Quarter resort to be great for families with small children.  It's smaller and more quaint, and Downtown Disney is a boat ride away.  You can also easily walk to the Riverside area, if you want to use their amenities.
