Hi, looking to go resort hopping on the monorail the first day we are at Disney. Also looking to use a DDP snack credit while hopping around. Any ideas of where to go and what to get? Thanks!

    Hello Kristin,

You are a woman after my own heart!  I love resort hopping, especially by monorail.

I'm not sure what your starting point is, but if you are at a Disney resort you can take a bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom (or boat from the Wilderness Lodge).  Once at the park, you won't enter the park but instead walk to the Resort Monorail which will make the following stops:  Contemporary Resort, Ticket and Transportation Center, Polynesian Resort, the Grand Floridian, and finally back to the Magic Kingdom.

If you have your own car, you can drive to any one of the resorts and just let the security guard know that you are visiting the resort. From the resort, you can catch the same Resort Monorail I mentioned above.

Once at the resorts, there are oodles of snacks on the Disney Dining Plan to enjoy; truly more than I can mention here.  However, if you visit www.disneyfoodblog.com, you can read about many of the choices and enjoy thorough reviews and pictures of many of the snacks. And don't worry, the snacks are all marked with a symbol, and the cast members will know what counts as snack items.

I would like to point out a couple of favorite snacks.  At the Contemporary Resort, amazing fudge is actually for sale at one of the shops called Bayview Gifts, and there are some mighty yummy cupcakes at the Contempo Cafe.  At the Polynesian, you can get a classic Disney snack at Capt. Cooks:  a Dole Whip.

    Have a magical trip!
