We are looking to go to Magic Kingdom with out almost 2 yr old the week of New Years. What is the best way to go about planning character meet and greats? How far in advance can I see the times they will be at certain locations and can I add it in the app?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amanda! Character meet and greets are a special part of our family vacations! Those personalized hugs and interactions are a real bit of magic we can’t do without.

As we come home from our vacation from The Most Magical Place on Earth, my kids like to review their autograph books to remember who we visited. After we get unpacked, I’ll print out downloads from our Memory Maker and insert the photos into the books to match the signatures. It’s the perfect scrapbook! You can review the characters in ENTERTAINMENT within the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Focus in on any park and check the list to see meet and greet times. You may also want to check out the third party Kenny the Pirate. His character locator is something I’ve used before my vacations to find our favorite characters in a certain park and even what time they begin to meet.

My daughter was able to ride the Magic Carpets while Aladdin and Jasmine rode around before magical photos took place. The smiles and joy were tangible! If we can help you plan any other aspect of your trip, please let us know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
