Looking to go in 2023. What is a less populated time to go (that's not hurricane season).

Hey there, hi there, Shannon! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with such a great planning question.

It sounds like the magic is calling you, Shannon, and I'm so excited to hear that you plan on answering the call! It's always a great time to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, but as someone who visits Walt Disney World Resort several times a year, I have definitely noticed some trends in crowd levels. With hurricane season running from June 1st through November 30th, I'm going to keep that in mind as I give you my top three favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort with the lowest crowd levels to help you plan your practically perfect magical adventure.

The first lower crowd-level time is the last two weeks of January. I take an adults-only birthday trip during this time every year, and typically, crowds are low, the weather is mild and my favorite festival, the oh-so-colorful EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, is in full swing. This year, the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration will still be running through March 31, 2023, so you can't beat a trip in early 2023!

Next, I find that early May, with its gorgeous weather, lower crowds and the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in full bloom, is a great time to see, do and taste everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. Plus, it's warm enough for one of my favorite Disney activities: midday poolside cocktail breaks.

Lastly, but certainly not least, my very favorite time to visit Walt Disney World Resort is in early December. The crowds haven't ramped up for the holidays yet, but it is definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas! With the festive decor, beautiful trees, twinkling lights and smell of gingerbread, there just seems to be extra magic in the air at this time of year. It is the most wonderful time of the year, after all!

I hope this was helpful, Shannon! No matter when you choose to visit, it is sure to be a magical and memorable time. Please stop by any time with any questions you may have along your planning journey. You've got a friend in planDisney!

Chase the wind and touch the sky,
