Looking to go the Hoop Dee Doo review with my Spectrum grandson. He will not eat anything on the menu, are alternate items such as chicken fingers/nuggets or hot dogs/corn dogs and fries available upon request?

Howdy there, William, and welcome to planDisney!

You’re in for a rootin’-tootin’ good time at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue—one of the most foot-stompin’, laugh-out-loud shows in all of Walt Disney World Resort! I just had the chance to experience it for the first time with my planDisney Class of 2024 pals, and I had such a blast that I went ahead and booked it for my own family’s upcoming vacation—right at the 60-day mark so we could snag that prime floor seating. It’s dinner and a show in the best way possible!

I chatted with a friendly Cast Member on your behalf, and I’m happy to share that alternate meal options may be available upon request. While the main menu is filled with hearty comfort food like fried chicken and BBQ ribs, they try to accommodate guests with different preferences. I'd suggest contacting the Disney Special Dietary Request team (no more than 14 days prior to your reservation) to go over your options, mention your request when you check in and again with your server once you're seated, and they’ll do their best to make sure he has something he’ll enjoy. If you want extra peace of mind, contact the Help Center to see if you can speak to a Cast Member. Just make sure you do so prior to the cancellation window, which is one (1) day before your reservation, so you can cancel without penalty.

As you plan your evening, here are a few tips to help everything go smoothly. When heading to the show, plan to arrive about 30 minutes before your reservation to check in. The show begins about 20 minutes after everyone’s settled into their seats.

Getting there can take a little planning, since there’s no direct route from most Disney Resort hotels to Fort Wilderness. If you’re using Disney transportation, give yourself plenty of time—at least 90 minutes—especially if you’ll need to transfer buses. If you’re driving, you’ll park at the entrance to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, then hop on an internal bus to Pioneer Hall. Or, if you want to keep things simple, the Minnie Van service through the Lyft app can drop you off right at Pioneer Hall’s front steps—super easy and convenient.

I hope this helps you feel more confident about your reservation. If you have any more questions or need help planning the rest of your trip, don’t hesitate to swing back by planDisney and send another question my way. I’d be glad to help you again!

    Happy trails,
    Brent
