    hi, I am looking to go to dw in 2018 but have never stayed in a resort. im curious as to how check in day works using the online check in. if we get there at 7am can we park at resort? use the shuttles? does my dining plan also start that morning?

    Hi, Tom!

    Welcome to Walt Disney World!  Staying at a Disney Resort hotel is super convenient. You will love the perks of being a resort guest.

    Although your room might not be available until 3:00pm, check-in can be done as early as 7:00am. This will allow you to use your Disney Dining Plan credits, enjoy complimentary standard parking at the resorts and theme parks, and get the fun started if you are heading to the Magic Kingdom or any of the super fun parks. You will have received your MagicBands in the mail a few weeks prior to your arrival, so that will serve as your resort ID and will have any vacation entitlements linked to it. Easy as can be!

    If you complete online check-in, you should receive a text when your room is ready. When your get the text, you can by-pass the front desk and go straight to your room as your MagicBand will also serve as your room key. Boy, Mickey Mouse has thought of everything with planning a magical vacation!
