Hi Gerald,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! While my family and I are still omnivores, I’ve been slowly shifting our diet towards more vegan options for environmental and health reasons. I also have several friends with Celiac disease, so I’m quite familiar with the options for gluten-free dining at Walt Disney World Resort.
Almost every Walt Disney World Resort restaurant has some excellent gluten-free and vegan options for you that will satisfy any
special dietary requests your party may have. My advice would be to pick the restaurants that appeal most to your family and I’m sure everyone in your party will be able to find something to eat. Most table service restaurants have special allergy-friendly menus and meal options and select quick service locations also offer allergy-free menus and other meal options that will work for you.
Although I’ve never seen an official list of gluten-free and vegan options, “unofficial sites” such as Allergy Free Mouse (www.allergyfreemouse.com/) and Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free WDW (www.glutenfreedairyfreewdw.com) and Vegan Disney World (vegandisneyworld.com/), prepare those kinds of lists. These sites also prepare reviews of many Disney dining options, which should help you narrow down your choices.
Because Disney Dining locations are constantly changing ingredients and suppliers, please ask your server whether any of the options that you see on the menu are vegan and gluten-free. If you have any specific questions, I encourage you to email the "Special Diets" team at
Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
