    I was looking into getting an AP. My question, Can I have an AP and book a vacation package ( like I have for the past few years without an AP) for the rest of my family ( Husband two small kids) if they don't have APs? Thanks! 

    Hi, Marley!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    I am so excited to hEAR that you are considering becoming a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder!  You will love all of the benefits, discounts, and exclusive Passholder extras that come along with your yEAR of magic!

    I am in a similar situation to you, Marley.  Since I had several visits to the Walt Disney World Resort planned over the past yEAR, I decided it was well worth it to become an Annual Passholder.  However, due to work and school commitments, my husband and children do not visit The Most Magical Place on Earth quite as often as I do, so we did not purchase annual passes for them.

    Now when I plan a family vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort, I simply book a room-only Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reservation rather than a vacation package.  I then purchase theme park tickets separately for my husband and children.  If you are a fan of the Disney Dining Plan, Annual Passholders also have the option of adding a dining plan to their resort hotel reservations as well.

    One aspect of being an Annual Passholder that I have really enjoyed over the past yEAR is that Memory Maker is included with my annual pass purchase.  Once you become an Annual Passholder, be sure to take advantage of all those fun Magic Shots offered by the Disney PhotoPass Service Photographers.  My current favorite photo opportunities are the Tiny World Magic Shot and the Super Zoom Magic Shot videos that can help commemorate your visit to Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
