Lola from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

When looking at the Genie day planner in the app… it says experiences like Luminous Symphony of Us and Festival of the Lion King are “closed”. Is this because my dates are too far in the future? Or are these experiences actually not going to be available?

    Hi Lola!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney!  You sound just like me - always peeking ahead to see what fun is waiting on my next visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  My husband often jokes that he thinks I have as much fun planning our trips as I do actually taking them!

Lola, while park hours and entertainment schedules are always subject to change, I haven't heard anything about either of these popular shows closing.  When I looked at showtimes for Luminous The Symphony of Us on the Walt Disney World Resort website, I was only able to view information for the next 60 days.  I think you'll find your showtimes updated closer to your arrival. . .and still with plenty of time to plan ahead!

60 days is an important planning milestone for your vacation as not only will you usually find updated hours and showtimes, but you are also able to start making advanced dining reservations.  If you're a guest at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you have the added advantage of making dining reservations for your entire length of stay (up to ten days) when you reach 60 days before your arrival.  If you're looking for a memorable view of Luminous The Symphony of Us, you may want to consider booking a Fireworks Dinner Package at either Rose & Crown Dining Room or Spice Road Table.

When it comes time for your vacation to begin, your My Disney Experience Mobile App will be the go-to destination for managing all of your plans - entertainment showtimes, Lightning Lanes, Virtual Queues, dining reservations, and so much more!  One of my favorite features in the app though is Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering.  It has been a game-changer on our vacations as I love the fact that I can spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying the magic with my family.  You can conveniently pay with your stored credit card or a Disney Gift Card.  In addition, you are even able to redeem meals from one of the dining plans!

Lola, I hope you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  Please see us again at planDisney with any other questions you have - we're all ears!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
