Hello. I am looking at a future vacation for my family. I am wondering what the difference is between Jambo house and Kidani house at Disney's animal kingdom lodge.

    Hi Valerie!

If you are looking to take a walk on the wild side, a stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge or the two Disney Vacation Club Resorts, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House or Kidani Village is sure to make you roar!

At Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge you will find more traditional hotel rooms, as well as various club rooms and 1-2 bedroom suites offering concierge service and access to the fantastic Kilimanjaro Club lounge. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House is also located here and offers Deluxe Studios with kitchenettes as well as 1-3 Bedroom Villas with full kitchens. Some rooms also have club level access. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village is located approximately a 10 minute walk or short bus ride away from Jambo House. This Disney Vacation Club Resort also features Deluxe Studios and 1-3 Bedroom Villas.

While Jambo House and Kidani Village share many similarities, overall I find the vibe at Kidani Village a bit more relaxed. Jambo House tends to draw more foot traffic, with many guests visiting to dine at the two table service restaurants, Jiko - The Cooking Place, and Boma - Flavors of Africa. Jambo House also offers more expansive counter service options at The Mara. At Kidani Village, Sanaa offers quick-service breakfast as well as table service lunch and dinner. Pools at both Resorts are fantastic! If you have a car, Kidani offers a great advantage; covered parking directly underneath the Resort which is easily accessible by elevator to the main lobby.

Good luck making your decision, Valerie. I assure you, there really isn't a bad choice!
