We are looking for a fun trip for our Girl Scout Troop --girls in both 7th and 8th grade. We were thinking about the Disney Princess Run but we are now wondering if you offer other types of weekends for Girl Scout troops that include some type of activity

    Hi, Mary Rene!

I think participating the Royal Family 5k during the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is a great idea for your Girl Scout Troop! I can't think of a better way to celebrate the sisterhood the Girl Scout's advocate better than to participate in a fun run designed to bring out their inner princess.

The Expedition Everest Challenge could also be a fun activity for them to complete. This nighttime race offers a 5k run complete with obstacles and is capped off with a scavenger hunt through Disney's Animal Kingdom. Though the 2014 event has already reached capacity, it could be a great opportunity to look into for next year.

Another option is to consider the Disney Youth Education Series. With year round programs available in a variety of studies, you just might find the perfect opportunity for your Troop.

Walt Disney World Resort plays host to many special events and tours throughout the year. With activities such as Disney's Dolphins in Depth and the Behind the Seeds Tour, you'll be able to plan an amazing experience!

I hope this information has been helpful, Mary Rene. Please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have regarding runDisney, or any of the suggestions made above.

    Have a great day!
