Hello! I am looking foward to my first trip to Disney during Christmas! One of my favorite parts going to Disney, are the parades and awesome shows at night. How does this work during certain times like MVMCP? Do they still go on regularly?

    Hi Krystin,

The holidays are absolutely my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World.  I might be a bit biased with a Christmas Eve birthday though!  The parks and resorts are decorated in a sea of holiday whimsy that would bring a smile to Ebenezer Scrooge himself!  How exciting that your holiday trip is "in the works!"  On nights that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party takes place (this is a wonderful, specially ticketed event at Magic Kingdom) there will be a special nighttime parade and holiday presentation of Wishes (the fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom).  On nights when the party is not taking place, however, the regularly scheduled evening parade and fireworks take place as scheduled.  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) is a wonderful, fun-filled way to welcome the holiday season.  The party features a special parade, where Santa is the "grand finale," character meet-and-greets, dance parties, and free holiday treats (cookies, hot cider and cocoa) throughout the park.  In addition, you will enjoy snow falling throughout the evening on Main Street.  If you have an opportunity to attend, I highly recommend it!

    Happy planning!
