Hi there, Lina!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Disney Cruise Line vacation is just around the corner and before you know it, you’ll be onboard and headed out to sea for some fun in the sun! Have you downloaded the
Navigator app yet? If not, do so before your voyage begins!
There are so many reasons why my family loves sailing with Disney Cruise Line, but the fact that Disney Cruise Line
allows Guests 21 years and older to bring beer or wine onboard really sets them apart from other cruise lines. You are required to carry on any beer or wine in your carry-on luggage and not pack it in your checked luggage, so I am glad you are asking that question before heading to the port for embarkation. The beer or wine that you bring onboard can be consumed in your stateroom or in the dining room, but if you choose to bring it to the dining room to have with dinner, there is a corkage fee. Currently, the corking fee is $25 per bottle, but pricing is always subject to change without notice. My husband will usually open a bottle of wine in our stateroom (don’t forget a corkscrew!!) and carry a glass of wine with him from the stateroom to dinner or one of the lounges for a pre-dinner drink. In case you were not aware, you can also bring onboard the same amount of beer or wine (2 bottles of wine OR 6 bottles of beer per adult) at each port of call that you visit. My husband always likes to try a local brew, so he will pick up some bottles before getting back on the ship after our day on land.
Wishing you a magical and memorable FIRST Disney Cruise Line adventure! Say hi to Captain Mickey!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
