We're looking forward to our 1st WDW trip in 12/2016. We've purchased tickets for MVMCP too! I booked 5:55 dinner at Crystal Palace. Will we be close to the festivities when they start? What's the parade route? And does it snow on Main Street?

    Hi Heather,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for sending us your question!

You will absolutely LOVE Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! The party doesn't officially begin until 7:00 p.m. and runs through 12:00 a.m. You can definitely experience a “snowfall” on Main Street U.S.A. before the oh-so-jolly holiday parades and then again at the conclusion of the party that evening.

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade begins in Frontierland and ends next to the Harmony Barber Shop. It features dancing gingerbread men and reindeer, as well as, giant toy soldiers marching down Main Street U.S.A. Since your dining reservation at The Crystal Palace is for 5:55 p.m. I would suggest arriving no later than 5:15 p.m. There is a chance you'll be seated earlier, and then you'll have the opportunity to see the first parade of the evening go by. However, if you miss it, don't worry! Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade runs twice each evening, once at 8:15 p.m. and then again at 10:30 p.m.

Disney Mom Tip: Don't miss your chance to meet-and-greet your favorite Disney Characters dressed in their holiday attire! You might even have the opportunity to see Jack Skellington, the Disney Princesses with their Princes and all Seven Dwarfs too!

Wishing you an unforgettable holiday at the Walt Disney World Resort!
