Hi! We are looking forward to our visit soon! My mom's utility bill only lists her first initial and last name. Is that going to be a problem? Thanks!

    Hiya Bethany,

Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited for you that your trip is just around the river bend. You are going to have a blast at Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to check out Main Street Confectionary when you visit Magic Kingdom. They offer custom candied popcorn creations that you personalize for your sweet tooth. It was one of my favorite treats during my last visit.

In my experience, the utility bill must have your mother’s full name on it (as listed on her state-issued driver’s license or ID) to be utilized as proof of Florida Residency. If your mother has any other bills, policies, or registrations with a Florida address and her full legal name, those would be the best to bring. Other acceptable forms include:

-Valid Florida Driver’s License with Florida address
-Valid Florida state-issued ID card that has a Florida address
    -Valid Florida-based military ID
    -Proof of Current Mortgage
    -Certain Pieces of Mail

I’m sorry I couldn’t give you the answer you probably wanted, Bethany; I hope it was helpful. If you need anything else, we are all EARs at planDisney and available to answer your planning questions for your trip (less than two weeks to go)!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
