We are looking forward to our visit to Pop next summer and have the quick serve dining plan. This includes a quick serve meal and drink (no snack). Do we need to get the drink at the same time as the meal or could we use it to get a speciality drink later?

Hi there, Rebecca, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you're looking forward to your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth next summer! Now is a great time to daydream about your must-do meals and experiences, and that way you'll be ready to book those Advance Dining Reservations when the big day arrives!

Rebecca, it's no secret that I'm a huge fan of dining plans at Walt Disney World Resort. I could truly talk about food all day, and one of the things I love most about dining plans is how they encourage me to try new restaurants and different dishes. I did a bit of research on available packages for Guests from the UK, and found a few details that will hopefully be helpful to you. In most cases, a quick-service meal on a dining plan actually includes a drink, and adults over 21 can choose an alcoholic beverage when available. It sounds like your meal and snack will be together, but I always make a point to ask a Cast Member or Server for clarification on what's included with a dining plan meal at each restaurant, because there are variations in offerings from location to location. This helpful webpage goes through some great points that you can reference as you make your plans.

If you happen to venture over to Disney Springs during your visit, you have to try some amazing barbecue from The Polite Pig. If you're up for an adult beverage, they have cocktails on tap - so fun! From there, you can visit the largest merchandise collection in the world, appropriately named World of Disney. Hopefully you've left room in your suitcase, because you'll find everything from apparel to housewares to holiday items at this incredible store.

Rebecca, you didn't ask my opinion on this, but as someone who lives just a few hours from Florida, I'd love to share a few tips for staying cool on a warm day at Walt Disney World Resort. August can be toasty, so dress in breezy fabrics, bring a hat and sunglasses, and consider a cooling towel or neck fan. Take it slow, and pack your patience and sense of humor. Take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry and don't hesitate to head back to your Resort to spend an afternoon at the pool. It might be warm, but you're sure to have an amazing time!

I hope this is helpful as you plan your visit. Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you continue to count down to your arrival!

    See you real soon!
