We are looking forward to staying at Disney Port Orleans. We have purchased genie + with our tickets at the time of booking. can we hold both a genie + reservation and a paid lighting lane reservation at the same time? Is 7am on day earliest time book both

Hey Howdy Hey Samantha and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question on Genie+, Lightning Lane and Individual Lightning Lane selections. You all are in for a real treat as Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and French Quarter are two of my personal favorites when it comes to Disney Resort Collection hotels. Before I get too carried away, let's go over the details of Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane purchases so you are well prepared!

Considering you are already in the camp that purchased your Genie+ with your theme park tickets, we can skip the step about its purchase. On the morning of your day in the parks, you can book your first Lightning Lane Entry starting at 7:00 AM EST. You will be able to book your next Lightning Lane Entry 2 hours after the park officially opens or after you tap into your first Lightning Lane experience, whichever one comes first.

When it comes to Individual Lightning Lane purchases, these work a little bit differently. Since you will be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you will be able to make your first Individual Lightning Lane purchase starting at 7:00 AM EST as well. So specifically to your question, Yes, you will have the opportunity to book both your Lightning Lane Entries and Individual Lightning Lane starting at 7 AM.

One strategy that I have for your when it comes to booking your Lightning Lane Entries and Individual Lightning Lane experiences, has to do with timing. If you all are early morning risers, you will have the ability to take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry which gives you access to the parks 30 minutes before the park officially opens to the general public. This will allow you to experience many attractions in the parks with minimal wait times. You can do this and save your Lightning Lane Entries and Individual Lightning Lane for later mornings or early afternoons when the theme parks are busiest. This will help make your time more efficient in the parks to experience attractions rather than spending a lot of time in lines!

Depending on which Port Orleans Resort you are staying at, they both have many reasons to visit. Over at Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, head on over to Scat Cat's Club - cafe for some delectable beignets. Over at Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, an evening walk along the Sasagoola River is such an amazing and peaceful way to end an evening. The walkways and resort itself are such a stately experience with fantastic scenery and a very relaxed vibe.

I hope this information was helpful in getting you ready for your holiday in the Vacation Kingdom of the World next year! Please feel free to reach back out with any questions you may have, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
