We are looking forward to seeing Rivers of Light in Animal Kingdom for the first time. We were wondering if the seats are better in the Fast Pass area or as part of the Dining Program?

    Welcome BACK, Dorothy!

Rivers of Light at Disney's Animal Kingdom is a truly beautiful nighttime show that every Disney fan needs to experience. There are many show elements that take place not only on the Discovery River, but also are projected on the Tree of Life and on water screens.

I feel like there truly isn't a bad seat in the theatre as the floats and boats do travel around the entire viewing area. However, I would think of your options this way: Guests are limited to booking three advance FastPass+ reservations per park day, and once those three reservations are used you can log in to your MyDisneyExperience account to secure an additional same-day FP+ reservations. Depending on how early your first three reservations are scheduled, and how busy the rest the day is, you should be able to book a fourth and a fifth FastPass+ for that day, with some guests being able to book as many as six or seven FastPasses. If you pre-book Rivers of Light as a FastPass+ reservation, you won't be able to snag any additional reservations that park day as the show is so close to closing time. You could chance trying to secure a Rivers of Light FastPass+ reservation as your fourth or fifth selection once you're at Animal Kingdom, but you run the risk of the show being out of FastPasses.

If you'd like to maximize your FastPass+ potential, then I would recommend the Rivers of Light Dining Package or the Rivers of Light Dessert Party over scheduling this experience as a FastPass+ reservation.

    I hope this helped, Dorothy!
