Hello there, Clare!
A warm welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us an excellent
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I can't believe my eyes... are you really off on a magical adventure beginning
tomorrow!? I'm thrilled to help you prepare for your enchanting escape to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Clare, it's very exciting to hear you'll be enjoying a stay at one of the fabulous
Disney Resort hotels during your time in Florida. Though your stay will be brief, it's sure to be filled with magical memories and breathtaking moments! Upon confirming with a friendly Cast Member, I can share that international Guests checking in at a Disney Resort hotel may be asked to
present a passport or other form of valid photo identification upon arrival. I did also find that the following forms of identification are required for international Guests hoping to
purchase alcohol while at the Walt Disney World Resort:
- Valid passport, and
- Another form of government-issued photo identification from country of origin
Considering that both forms of identification are required in another capacity (alcohol purchase), I'd probably err on the side of caution and bring your passport along for Resort hotel check-in purposes as well.
Clare, if you have specific questions about identification requirements ahead of your arrival at The Most Magical Place on Earth, I encourage you to reach out to the helpful Cast Members at the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line. They'll be able to provide official guidance on navigating documentation requirements for international travelers!
I hope you've found this suggestion helpful, Clare, and I wish you a most magical stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any additional questions throughout your holiday, you're always welcome to pop by
planDisney again. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Warm wishes,
Lauren
