Aloha, Peter, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited for you and your family as you get ready to set sail on your
very first Disney Cruise. As a fellow Stich-fan who just spent my birthday seeing it in the theater with my family, I can understand why you want to make memories together in the Buena Vista Theatre onboard.
Although entertainment is always subject to change, you’ll be happy to know that Lilo & Stitch is one of the featured films you can expect to see during your sailing (perfect for your eight-year-old to enjoy some quality time with Experiment 626!). The current movie lineup features a mix of new releases and Disney favorites, including Elio, Moana 2, Captain America: Brave New World, Snow White (live-action), Zombies 4, and Thunderbolts. And here’s something extra exciting: The Fantastic Four: First Steps just premiered on board, and Freakier Friday might make an appearance on the ship soon, too.
One of my favorite tips to offer first-timers is to download the free
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before embarkation day. Not only will you find a cute countdown to your cruise on the home screen, but once you’re onboard, connect to the DCL-GUEST WiFi so you can use the app each day to check film times and locations. You’ll also find everything from suggested dinner attire and
Character Greeting times. You also never know when Stitch might make a surprise appearance; that’s why I like to bring an assortment of my Stitch shirts, as well as the Stitch plushie I sleep with, so that he knows I’m part of his extended Ohana when we finally meet.
As Lilo says, “Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” On a Disney Cruise, you’re Ohana from the moment you step onboard and they announce your family, so have your camera ready! And if you think of any other questions before you set sail, I hope you’ll visit us again at
planDisney.
Bon voyage,
Sami
