We are looking forward to our Disney vacation in May 2009. Are we able to bring picnic items into the park to enjoy a relaxing picnic without any lines? If so, where are the best spots to picnic in the parks? thank you

    Hi Adrianne!

What a fantastic idea!  Let's just say that Disney's food prices are a little, well, more than most are used to!  Of course, the portions are HUGE and the atmosphere is out of this world.  That being said, you can absolutely bring a soft sided igloo, or other carrier of food with you into the parks.  In fact, all Disney resorts that are Moderate or above will actually have free refrigerators in the room.  We always like to keep "breakfast fixin's" in the fridge and eat our first meal in the room.

In the Magic Kingdom, Tom Sawyer's Island in Frontierland is one of our favorite escapes.  It is full of shade and has tons of room for the kiddos to run around - even a couple of picnic tables!  Disney's Hollywood Studios has hundreds of outdoor tables near the Sunset Ranch Market.    Head no further than Flame Tree Barbecue for an outdoor oasis in Animal Kingdom that is just perfect for a picnic!  Stroll around the World Showcase in Epcot for a variety of table options.

Have fun in May and picnic to your heart's content!
