    Hello, We are looking forward to our Disney Cruise on Jan 2017. I have seen some info about the Fish extenders and would like to know how to become part of the group. Sounds like a lot of fun for the grand children. Thank You!

    Your cruise in January is just a few months away, and I am very happy to help you with finding a Fish Extender group for your sailing! Fish Extenders are those cute little bags hanging from the “Fish” hook outside of the stateroom doors on Disney Cruise Line. They are not an officially sponsored Disney Cruise Line activity so to find a group, you will need to look outside of the Disney Cruise Line website.

    There are 2 popular places to find groups: the Dis Boards and Facebook (but I am sure there are others you can find). You can search both places by entering your cruise information; for example, search Disney Dream January 2, 2017 and your group will pop up. Ask permission to join and then you can get started with planning. These forums are useful to meet other guests on your cruise, share fun thoughts while waiting for your trip to come, and getting signed up for Fish Extenders gift exchanges.

    I am currently signed up for Fish Extenders on Facebook with 3 of my upcoming cruises, and since then I have gotten to know some wonderful people. As I have been working on gifts for my new friends, the excitement of my upcoming cruises is mounting. I highly recommend joining a group.
