Welcome back to planDisney, Johnny!
You had me at Casey’s Corner. I dream about their hot dog topped with mac and cheese and bacon, with a side of their delicious lemonade. There’s nothing like loading up on classic theme park food with a view of Cinderella Castle – vacation vibes!
Like you, I’m eagerly awaiting the reopening of
Casey’s Corner. Unfortunately, we still don’t have word on when that and other dining locations around the Walt Disney World Resort will reopen. I’m hopeful that by your October visit we’ll start to see the phased reopening move into later stages, especially since October 1 kicks off
The World’s Most Magical Celebration for the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort. My best advice is to keep reading the
Disney Parks Blog for updates on the phased reopening, and you can always check Casey’s Corner’s web page too.
Now let’s find you some chili dogs! One of my Disney World superpowers is that I know all the spots to find a hot dog in all three theme parks (my son would live on those tasty dogs if he were allowed). Currently,
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café is serving up a Chili-Cheese All-Beef Foot Long Hot Dog. While
The Friar’s Nook doesn’t have a chili dog, they do serve hot dogs and one of my favorite things: loaded tots.
If you happen to visit Disney Springs, the
Hot Diggity Dogs food truck has several loaded dogs, including a Texas Chili Cheese Dog. Right next door is a mac and cheese truck that I cannot wait to try.
B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. also serves lots of unique hot dogs, and they also have a chili dog. They also have a frozen sweet tea lemonade that is so refreshing in the Florida sun.
Well, now I’m hungry, Johnny. I hope this has given you some “food for thought” for your upcoming visit, and I’m sending ketchup, mustard, and relish scented pixie dust that you’re able to get that chili dog from Casey’s Corner this coming October. In the meantime, if you think of any more questions, we’re ready for you to “grill” us! See you real soon!
Wishing you a magical (and delicious) vacation,
Robyn
