We were looking at the Fort Wilderness Cabins for our next stay. My husband is disabled and cannot walk long distances and so would need to rent a scooter to get around the parks. Is there a place to park a scooter at the cabins out of rain to charge?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Kimberly, it’s so nice to see you hEAR today! Staying at a Disney Resort Hotel comes with many different benefits. My personal favorite is the ability to add a Disney Dining Plan to our vacation package. I just can’t get enough Mickey-shaped treats while we’re there.

The good news is that if you are renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle, from a Disney Featured Provider like ScooterBug, or bringing your own from home, you are able to keep it with you in your Cabin! There’s no need to leave it behind! If you would prefer, you may also rent the ECV daily in the parks. Keep in mind, if you do choose to rent in the parks or at Disney Springs, they are available on a first come first-served basis. I recommend arriving at the parks early so that you are able to rent one!

I hope this has helped answer your question Kimberly. I just know that you and your husband will have a Magical time! Hakuna Matata, a Wilderness Explorer at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort did tell me that it is easy to get your ECV to and from your Cabin. This should help make your travels a breeze!

Remember the Wilderness Must be Explored!
