We are looking at our first visit sometime between August-Feb depending on military orders. When would you recommend visiting? Normally the best weather, and less crowds? More than one month suggestion would be great! Thank you!

    Hi Ashley!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  I'm from Maryland and I think Florida is too hot and humid in the summer time, so I prefer to visit between October and March from a weather perspective.

From a crowd perspective, I suggest visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That's the website for the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar that predicts the crowd levels in the various parks for specific days.  That's the information you are looking for in terms of crowds!  Their predictions are based on a lot of math and years of data collection.  As an engineer, I'm a huge fan of their work.

Finally, you should consider what special events are going on in the parks.  I suggest visiting in October to enjoy the Epcot Food and Wine Festival and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom.  After that, I would suggest visiting in early December.  The parks and resorts will be decorated for the holidays and the Magic Kingdom will be offering Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on select nights.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
