We are looking into our first trip to WDW at the end of April. We have two kids, ages 8 and 5. I haven't been to WDW since 1997 and so much has changed. I have NO IDEA where to start. We are a military family. I'm hoping to get some good deals.

    Hi Deirdre!

You have come to the right place! Coming from a military family, I can tell you that that the military discounts are by far the best discounts available! You can start planning by selecting a place to stay. You definitely want to stay on-site at a Disney Resort because of the extra benefits. There is an offer for discounted resort stays, simply visit this page: 2017 Military Discounts for Resorts. Next, you need tickets! The current military ticket offer is either a 4-Day Ticket with Park Hopper option included or a 5-Day Ticket with Park Hopper option included. You can find this offer by visiting this page: 2017 Military Discounts for Park Tickets. You should also consider adding a Disney Dining Plan! This is such a great way to plan your meals and budget for them as well. Lastly I would recommend that you create your My Disney Experience Account where you will be able to manage and plan your vacation! I hope this helps!

Did you know?: The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival will be taking place during your visit in March! Be sure to check out the special events taking place during this beautiful and fun-filled festival! For more information, please visit this page: Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

It has been a pleasure assisting you Deirdre! Please feel free to send in any other questions you may have.
