Hi Callie, and welcome to planDisney. Congratulations on finding your very own happily ever after! I'm thrilled to assist in making your wedding dreams come true.
A November wedding in Walt Disney World sounds perfect. The weather in Florida is fantastic and you may even catch a few sparks of holiday magic as the theme parks and resorts begin to decorate for the merriest time of year. Spending time in a Grand Villa will be a deservedly decadent way to celebrate your nuptials.
At the current phase of reopening, fireworks and other nighttime spectaculars are temporarily suspended, and unfortunately we do not know an exact return date for some of our favorite shows like the Magic Kingdom Park's
Happily Ever After. At this time I can't promise you that fireworks will be part of our world again by November, but I would be happy to share some insight into your resort options.
The theme park view Grand Villas at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort have incredible multi-story windows with amazing views of the
Magic Kingdom Park and its fireworks show (when available). One of my family's most memorable vacations included a stay in a one-bedroom villa at this resort; each night we got into our pajamas and watched Happily Ever After from our beds while the music played on the television (they really do magically pipe the music right into your room!) It was a relaxing way for our little Mouseketeers (and us tired parents) to enjoy fireworks away from the crowds.
Additionally, you can see the Magic Kingdom Park's nighttime entertainment, when available, from some of the lake view villas at the
Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. While they do not have as direct a view as the villas at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Grand Villas here are especially luxe and elegantly adorned, an ideal setting for a romantic evening.
Finally, if an island paradise vibe is your style, the bungalows at
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows offer tropical luxury with direct views of Cinderella Castle and potential fireworks. Keep in mind that these sleep up to eight adults, while Grand Villas can accommodate up to twelve.
Callie, I will wish upon a star that by the time you say "I do" we will all be saying "ooh" and "ahh" as fireworks light up the night sky in Walt Disney World once again. Keep your fingers crossed, and your eyes on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements and updated offerings. In the meantime, remember that the always charming
Electrical Water Pageant can be seen each evening from the resorts located along Seven Seas Lagoon. Whether or not fireworks return by your big day, Cinderella Castle and the Magic Kingdom Park will make an unforgettable backdrop for your celebration.
Thanks again for bringing your question to planDisney! Consider us your very own Fairy Godmothers, and if there is anything else we can do to help make your special trip as magical as possible, come back and see us again.
