Ahoy, Richard!
Welcome aboard planDisney!
Castaway Cay has a way of becoming the highlight of the voyage, and booking a cabana there is a bit like snagging the perfect verandah on a sea day—once you know it’s possible, it can completely change how you experience the day on the island.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the ability to see real-time cabana availability for specific sailings. Your best bet is to
give Disney Cruise Line a call when you’re ready to book, as a Cast Member may be able to check whether any cabanas are currently available for your cruise. Keep in mind that cabana
booking windows open first for Concierge Guests, followed by Castaway Club members starting with Pearl, then Platinum, Gold, and Silver. Since this falls during a very popular spring break timeframe, availability can disappear faster than Peter Pan flying off to Neverland.
To offer a little pixie-dusted perspective from my own experience, my crew and I are Platinum
Castaway Club members sailing toward the end of March, and we were able to snag one of the new Mickey & Minnie Cove Cabanas. Even better, as of today there are still about a dozen of those new cabanas available on our sailing, with the Gold booking window opening soon. The addition of these new cabanas has been a game-changer and has significantly improved the odds for non-Concierge Guests. While I can’t promise anything, your chances are definitely better now than they were in the past—especially depending on your Castaway Club status or if you decide to book a Concierge stateroom.
I hope this helps as you decide whether this sailing fits your Castaway Cay daydreams. Even without a cabana, that island still delivers plenty of Disney magic, but having one does add an extra chapter to the story. Wishing you smooth planning and just the right bit of island luck as you chart your course.
Sea ya real soon with holiday cheer, calm seas, and magical winter memories,
Dustin
