Hi! Looking to figure out how to get started on planning our first Disney Trip. We have a daughter who will be three and twin boys who will be two when we plan to go this fall. Grandparents will be coming too. Best resorts to stay that are close.

Hi Tess, and welcome to planDisney!

I am super excited for you, your family, and your FIRST visit to Walt Disney World Resort! What an exciting time for you, especially because you get to enjoy that time with your entire family and create some beautiful memories.

You will find that no matter where you decide to lay your head, you will be close to the magic, and one reason is because of the available bus transportation that makes it possible.

Once you have pinpointed the dates you would like to visit, the most significant thing is to decide where you will want to stay. Because you will have little ones and grandparents in tow, I recommend the family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort or the family suites at Disney's All-Star Music Resort. They include two full bathrooms, a kitchenette, and enough sleeping space for six guests. There is also the option to reserve a 2-Bedroom Villa at a resort such as Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village; that way, you have access to the same two full bathrooms, but you will also have a full kitchen, and it sleeps up to 9 guests. Of course, you can always reserve two separate rooms and request connecting rooms.

You are on the right path in the planning process; please let us know how we can help.

    Have a magical adventure!
