Hello there, Hanina!
I’m so excited that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation aligns with my favorite festival,
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. If you were mesmerized by
Beauty and the Beast’s enchanted rose, I guarantee that the whimsical gardens and outdoor kitchens at the festival will spark your sense of wonder. Last year, the
Trowel & Trellis outdoor kitchen had delicious Boneless Impossible Korean Short Ribs. I hope they bring the dish back this year, but look out for the Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide to the festival to find out what the outdoor kitchens will have to offer. Let’s talk through my favorite sit-down and counter service restaurants with plant-based options at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
Magic Kingdom ParkMy husband and I recently tried
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, and we were so impressed by the offerings. We had the noodles, but the allergy-friendly Falls Family Falafel appetizer and Curried Vegetable Crew Stew entree with vegan naan sound amazing. There’s even a special Congo Connie’s Coconut-Curry Concoction entree for the little Mouseketeers, but don’t forget about the best part of the meal- dessert! The Panna-Connie’s Congo Lime Delight with Mango-Lime sorbet sounds refreshing on a hot day.
EPCOTOne of my favorite sit-down restaurants at EPCOT’s World Showcase is the
Rose & Crown Dining Room. They have some really unique British nature-based food options, such as the Savory Impossible Hot Pot and plant-based vanilla gelato. I also suggest asking the server if they have Vegan Fish & Chips and Vegan Bangers and Mash available.
Disney’s Hollywood StudiosFor a real ‘50s-style drive-in “theater” experience, check out the
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant. They have a nature-based Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Cashew Cheese, Flying Saucer Impossible Burger, and the best part- a plant-based Cookie Shake!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme ParkI recommend placing a mobile order at
Satu'li Canteen on the My Disney Experience app while you’re waiting in line for one of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park’s thrilling attractions.
If you or anyone in your party has
four or more allergy-friendly requests, you can contact Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com 14 days prior to your arrival to make Special Dietary Requests. Don’t forget that you can start making advanced dining reservations on your My Disney Experience app up to 60 days in advance of your vacation. Even though most reservations are available online at 6:00 am EST, you may find that some restaurants offer reservations as early as 5:45 am EST.
May the magic be with you!
Melanie
