We are looking at the Fantasy/Dream cruises and noticed there are some oceanview rooms with walk-in showers that are not labeled as accessible. Are there any verandah rooms like that? We dont need an accessible room but do having to step into the tub would

Ahoy there, Richard! Welcome to planDisney!

I’m excited that you might be sailing on board what feels like my home-away-from-home, the Disney Fantasy! The Disney Fantasy holds special nostalgia in my heart because it’s the Disney ship I’ve sailed on the most. I’ve practically watched my kids grow up among its hallways, and have relaxed with my afternoon coffee on the verandah of our staterooms during one too many of their baby and toddler naps! Add to that, its sister ship, the Disney Dream, and no matter which you choose, you are in for a fantastic cruise that's sure to be dreamy!

I would love to help you find the verandah stateroom that’s right for you! If you’re looking for a verandah stateroom with a walk-in shower, your best bet is to book an accessible stateroom. Even though you don't need an accessible stateroom, these are the accessible verandah staterooms that have a roll-in (or walk-in) shower.

You have two options when it comes to accessible verandah staterooms.

    • One is titled “Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah-Accessible” and is categorized as 4B and 4E. They can sleep 4-5 guests and are located on Decks 5, 6, and 8. The exact room numbers are 5552, 6088, 6090, 8090, 8092, 8588, and 8590 on both the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.
    • The other is titled “Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah-Accessible”. They’re categorized as 5A and 5B and are located on Decks 8 and 9 of both ships. They can sleep up to 4 guests, and the room numbers are 8184 and 9170 on both.

On both ships, each of these staterooms has a verandah, roll-in (and walk-in) shower, and thus does not have a split-bathroom design. The difference between the two is that the “Family Oceanview with Verandah” sleeps 5 guests, so it’s a little bit bigger at 299 sq ft vs 246 sq ft. My suggestion is that if you’re choosing between the two, ask yourself how many guests you’re trying to accommodate and how much space you will need. But truly, from a Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream frequent visitor, you can’t go wrong with either one, and both will feel equally spacious!

Richard, I hope I was able to help. I wish you wonderful memories ahead! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.

    Bon Voyage,
    Rana
