Hello looking to get Fantasmic dining for the week of August 25th and it has a slash through it. Is the dining close for that entire week ?

Hi Brittany, and welcome to planDisney! I love that Fantasmic! is on your radar. It's such an iconic nighttime spectacular, and the dining package is a great way to enhance the experience. Let's talk about timing and reservations.

Brittany, since Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort begins on August 22, 2025, it's very possible that Fantasmic! will move to having performances on select nights, likely Fridays through Sundays and on holidays. The slashes you’re seeing could mean that Fantasmic! is not scheduled for those dates, or that dining packages have not yet been fully loaded into the system for one reason or another. The Hours & Events Calendar will be a good source for confirmation, because it will show exactly what shows are scheduled and when. The calendar is updated on a rolling basis with information up to six weeks out. Details for the week of August 25 should be available in the next few weeks. I recommend checking back periodically for both dining reservation availability and the entertainment schedule as Halloween Time approaches.

If your plans are bringing you to California Adventure at all, I highly recommend the World of Color Dessert Party. I went a few weeks ago with my mom and sister, and we had an amazing time. Not only did we watch the show seated at a table with a great view, but we also each received a box with snacks, desserts, and something special to bring home. The Disney Parks Blog recently confirmed that World of Color Happiness! and Paint the Night will both continue once Halloween Time begins. And I did see reservations available the week of your visit. Some nights are marked as unavailable because there are no performances scheduled on nights when an Oogie Boogie Bash party is taking place.

Brittany, I'm sure you will notice an extra festive feel in the air, since you're arriving shortly after Halloween Time kicks off. All the decorations will be up, seasonal versions of popular attractions should be open, and frightfully fun foods will be available – you’re in for a real treat! I’m looking forward to Haunted Mansion Holiday. My kids love pointing out all of the Nightmare Before Christmas details during the dune buggy tour.

Brittany, I hope your visit to the Disneyland Resort at the end of August is nothing short of magical. I'm sending a little pixie dust your way in hopes that Fantasmic! will be part of your experience, but either way, I'm sure you will have a fantastic time!

If you have any other questions between now and then, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.
