In looking at a family vacation totaling 9 adults and 4 kids. I need different rooms we do not want to stay in one room, prefer to have at least 3 rooms or maybe 4. How do you plan for separate rooms?

    Hi Erin,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love that you are planning for a larger group!

First, I suggest that you decide which adults will be with which children in which rooms. If people are paying separately for the trip, then I would book the rooms accordingly - each room group pays for that room. Book your room or vacation package online. If you book separate rooms, you will just need to be sure to link each resort hotel confirmation number in My Disney Experience. Although cast members will try to keep your rooms close together, there is no guarantee that the rooms will be near each other.

In the past, we have stayed in a 2 Bedroom Villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. The villa had one bedroom with a king sized bed and another bedroom with two queen sized beds. It also had two bathrooms and a kitchen. My parents came on that trip and we had more than enough space for the week of our visit. I especially loved that the villa had a washer and dryer as well. Other deluxe and deluxe villa resort hotels have two bedroom suites or villas, so be sure to review all of your choices. Disney's Art of Animation Resort has family suites that might also be a nice option.

Erin, finally, I advise that you do online check-in. When we do online check-in, I receive a text message when our room is ready. I always check the location of that room using a resort map online. If the room is not where I requested, I call the phone number in the text message and make my room location request again. Cast members have always done their best to try to accommodate our requests!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
