Hi there am looking to take my family to Disney late October- end of first week November 2026 is it very busy at that time

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that I get to answer your question today. You're starting off with my #1 top planning tip: planning early. Picking the time of year to visit is the first thing to check off your list, so let's take a look at your potential dates and chat about what you can expect!

The short answer to your question is that there are always a lot of people at Walt Disney World. You'll always be sharing space with lots of other guests, and there will always be some waiting for attractions, no matter when you go. That said, your timing actually lands in a pretty sweet spot overall. I'd call late October through the end of the first week of November a moderate crowd period.

Here's why: you'll slide past the peak of October's fall break rush and enjoy early November before the big holiday crowds roll in. You'll also hit that magical in-between moment when the resort flips from Halloween to the holiday season. It's genuinely very special! One day you're seeing pumpkins and the next you're spotting garlands and twinkle lights. Magic Kingdom in particular feels extra fun during that transition, and it's a treat to watch the parks change practically overnight.

When you're in the parks, you can expect average wait times, with some bumps on the weekends. You probably won't get "walk-on everything" days, but with a solid plan, you can do a ton. Rope drop in the morning, take a mid-day break if you can, and lean on Lightning Lane for your must-dos. If you're flexible, target the most popular attractions first thing in the morning or late at night when lines tend to ease.

I have a few extra tips for planning your trip! Make sure to keep an eye on park hours as your dates approach, and take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, which are available to you depending on your choice of Resort Hotel. If you're hoping to catch both Halloween and Christmas, plan one Magic Kingdom day before Halloween and another a few days after, and you'll feel like you got two seasons in one trip.

I hope this answers your question, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
