Welcome back to
planDisney, Sheri! Your
7-Night Mediterranean Cruise sounds like a great way to take in all that sights of southern Europe.
While walkers may be allowed on a particular Port Adventure, the paths and walkways may be on an uneven surface in Civitavecchia (Rome), which is a safety concern. Also, some of these tours require transportation via motorcoach which means Guests would need to be able to navigate the stairs to get on and off the motorcoach.
I'm not sure which
Port Adventures have caught your eye, but details are usually listed in the "Know Before You Go" section of each one on the Disney Cruise Line website. For example, the
Civita Bagnoregio & Lunch at a Local Winery Port Adventure states that there is "walking at a steady pace, part of which will be on cobblestone, uneven, and/or gravel surfaces." There are also some Port Adventures designed for those who have a mobility aid. If your mom wanted to see the Colosseum, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona, there is
an option for Guests with a mobility aid. You would select the
companion option of this Port Adventure to go with her.
I hope that helps you decide on the Port Adventure you can look forward to, Sheri. If you have a particular Port Adventure in mind, feel free to
write back to me with more questions. You can also
contact Disney Cruise Line directly. I want you and your mom to have a great, safe vacation!
Ciao!
