Welcome aboard, Shanna!
How exciting to hear that you'll be sailing out on the high seas with Captain Mickey soon. There's so much to look forward to on this vacation --
Castaway Cay is ahh-mazing! You and your buccaneers will have such a splashtacular time at Disney's private island.
We sailed to the Bahamas when my son was 4 years old too, and he really enjoyed playing on the beach the most. My kids had an awesome time collecting little sea shells on the shore and neatly setting them on the sand -- they spelled their names to leave their mark on Castaway Cay! :-) Prior to that, we did go on a short bike ride and we enjoyed seeing parts of the island very leisurely, with lots of stops for pictures. Another fun activity is the
glass bottom boat voyage, which offers a different perspective of the island. The water was pretty clear on our trip and the kids enjoyed seeing different sea friends. It can be a choppy ride though, and as any water activity, it will also be weather dependent. Make sure to stop by Scuttle's Cove on the island. The Youth Counselors make it so much fun for little cruisers with lots of games and activities... they burn a lot of energy there!
Remember, you can enjoy lunch on the island -- so no need to head back to the ship mid-day. You can spend more time playing at the beach. We love
spending the day at Castaway Cay - I'm sure you'll love it too!
I hope this helps, Shanna. Let us know if you have any additional questions that we can help with.
