Welcome to planDisney, Zach! I'm excited to see your question today and chat with you about a few of my favorite things - park hopping at the Walt Disney World Resort and minimizing wait times using
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass! There's nothing more exciting that experiencing the magic of all of your favorite attractions across multiple parks in one thrilling day!
Zach, if you are a guest staying at a Disney Resort hotel located in
Disney's BoardWalk area, or if you'll be arriving to EPCOT via the
Disney Skyliner, you'll have no problem entering the park through the International Gateway entrance. If you're arriving by personal vehicle, Disney Monorail, or by bus from another Disney Resort hotel, you'll enter through the main front entrance of the park. Either way, if you have a pre-booked Lightning Lane Single Pass for the day to experience
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, you're going to have an exhilarating start to your day! When you make your Lightning Lane selection for this attraction, you'll be able to select the best available time. Remember you can
make your selections 7 days in advance if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, and 3 days in advance if you're staying at an off-site hotel, so be sure to log into your
My Disney Experience mobile app starting at 7 AM EST on the appropriate day to have the best options!
Once you've saved the galaxy, Zach, your plan to transport by
Disney Monorail to Magic Kingdom Park and tap into your second park is flawless! In your planning, you will be eligible with your
Park Hopper Option to book Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Magic Kingdom Park, even if you've selected Lightning Lane Single Pass at EPCOT. All 3 of your initial Multi Pass selections must be for the same park, but as you redeem them, you will also have the option to select additional
attractions and experiences in any of the four theme parks, subject to availability. Since you plan to visit EPCOT first, I recommend booking your Guardians of the Galaxy Lightning Lane first and as early in the day as possible so you'll know what time frame is best for selecting options at Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day.
Zach, one last tip I'll share with you is that since you are planning your park hopping visit during a very busy season, there is a possibility for Magic Kingdom Park to reach capacity and not allow additional guests to enter, so with this possibility in mind, I'd plan to arrive early to ensure you don't run into this issue! Keep an eye on the My Disney Experience mobile app for notifications about capacity updates during your visit and park hopping availability!
Zach, I hope this helps! If you have any other questions before your visit, come on back to
planDisney and let us know! We're very merry to make magic with you!
Happy Holidays,
Alison
