Hey Jennifer!
Welcome back to
planDisney!
It looks like you love to visit both coasts as much as I do! Split stays are always a must for my family when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Staying at two different Disney Resorts almost feels like you’re on two separate vacations. If I can squeeze two vacations into one, I’m all for it! A split stay at the Disneyland Resort is definitely on my list of must-dos and I can’t wait to try it. I think
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel are so unique in their own ways that you’re going to get two amazing experiences in one.
You’re probably used to getting your luggage transferred during a split stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. Unfortunately, there are no luggage transfer services at the Disneyland Resort and you will need to transfer the luggage on your own. I’m not sure if you’ve walked from one hotel to the other on a previous visit but you would be able to walk your luggage over very easily. It is maybe a five minute walk at most from one hotel to the other. You will have to cross the street, which is what separates the two hotels, but there is a crosswalk where guests are constantly crossing throughout the day. If you're going to have a car with you, you could drive your luggage over when you were moving your car from one parking lot to the other. When you check out of the first hotel Bell Services will gladly hold your bags until your next room is ready. Once your new room is ready, you could pick up your luggage from Bell Services and then head to your new hotel room.
Well Jennifer, if you need anything else before your trip please come back and let us know how we can help.
Remember, always believe in the Magic!
