We are looking to do Disney in 2021! We are trying to see how we can do trick or treating and see some of Christmas all in a week at Disney. Please tell me there is a way! Thank you!

Hi, Crystal!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

In my opinion, it's never too early to start thinking about your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!  I am glad to hEAR that you are starting your vacation planning well in advance and thinking of ways to maximize your magic.  Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are two of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort events, so I can certainly understand why you would like to experience both in one trip.

While we don't know the party schedules for 2021 this far in advance, I can tell you that this year's last Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party took place on November 1 and this year's first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled for November 8.  Typically if you arrive during the final days of October and stay through the first week or so of November, you can witness the transformation from spooky season to holiday splendor.  As you plan your trip, be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to see when the 2021 party schedules are announced.  The first and last parties of the year tend to sell out quickly, so you will want to purchase tickets to these special events well in advance.

As you begin planning your magical vacation, please know that typically, Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages for the upcoming year tend to be released over the summer.  For example, 2020 vacation packages became available for booking in June 2019.  However, if you know your vacation dates and which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you would like to stay in earlier than that, room-only reservations can be made 499 days in advance.  If you make a room-only reservation, you are welcome to call and upgrade it to a vacation package with theme park tickets and a Disney Dining Plan as soon as vacation packages for your trip dates become available.  You are also welcome to modify your reservation at any time to take advantage of any special offers that might become available as your vacation approaches.
