Hi Stacey,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am thrilled to see you trying to book a vacation with the Walt Disney World Resort! I am not sure why you would be asked to pay $1300 unless you did not actually use the
vacation package booking tool. When booking a vacation package that includes a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and theme park tickets, you should be able to make that reservation by paying a $200 deposit. If you did not select theme park tickets with your resort hotel, that might be part of the problem. I suggest going to the vacation package link again and clicking on Book your Walt Disney World Vacation today, then selecting your resort hotel and theme park tickets again. The system will give you a sub-total and total but then at the end of the booking process, it should only ask for the deposit as long as you are 31 days or more before arrival.
If you try again online and still encounter difficulty, I suggest that you
contact a Cast Member by phone to get assistance with booking that vacation package. Once you get that package reserved, remember to use the confirmation number to
link it in your
My Disney Experience account. Once linked, you can log into My Disney experience, review your reservation details in My Plans, and you should be able to make payments until your balance due date.
I see that you are visiting during the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. This is my family's favorite time of year to visit! Given that this is such a busy time of year to visit, be sure to make
Disney Park Pass system reservations and
advanced dining reservations for your stay.
Stacey, I trust you will get your vacation package booked and linked! Magic awaits!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
