Hi there, Shannon!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Celebrating New Years Eve onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship sounds like a MAGICal way to ring in the New Year! You will certainly always remember the start of 2020 if you celebrate it onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship!
The specific itinerary that you are looking into booking is not a Very Merrytime themed voyage so I am sorry to say that the holiday décor will have already been taken down before your adventure begins. While the themed décor is always a nice added touch, you will still be amazed by the beautiful décor throughout the ship. In fact, my five-year old is requesting that we get a chandelier like the “Mickey Boat” for our home. And while it’s beautiful, I have to remind him that it would be a tad too large for our entryway!
The onboard schedule of events and entertainment is not yet finalized and any themed nights (Pirate Night, Frozen Night, etc.) are not usually announced until closer to six-months from sailing. From my resEARch, I would tend to say that there will be a
Pirate Night AND a
New Year’s Eve celebration. I do not think the New Year’s Eve celebration would take place of the Pirate Night and you would in fact get to enjoy both! Pirate Night is so much fun and my family always looks forward to the themed-dinner and Pirates IN the Caribbean deck party at night! If you do end up booking this voyage, grab pirate garb for everyone during the fall so you will be ready to go!
As you continue planning for an adventure you WON’T forget, please come back with any other questions you may have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
