    Looking into deluxe studio savannah view for 1st week of Dec 2013. Will require GAC in parks. Would like to request room that would offer us great views (giraffes and zebras) and close to amenities and bus stop.Please advise. Approx travel/wait time 4 bus?

    Hi Stacie,

    Thanks for coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I do love Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, both Jambo House and Kidani Village. You will find deluxe studios in both Kidani Village and Jambo House, so first you will need to make the decision on which section you would like to stay in. Given your situation that you would like great views, being close to amenities and a bus stop, I think that your best bet will be Kidani Village.

    At Kidani Village, the rooms that appear closest to the lobby as well as the bus stop and are on a savanna are between 7300 - 7319 and 7400 - 7419. These will put you on the third or fourth floor, which many find to offer the best views of the savanna. They are also close to the bus stop. You can make the requests that you have when making your reservation or upon online check-in; however, please be aware that requests are not guaranteed by Disney.

    Typically, my family has found that we don't wait more than 15 or 20 minutes for a bus to arrive. It's wonderful when you walk up to the bus stop right when your bus arrives; however, you do need to be prepared to wait a bit sometimes. The quickest bus ride is from Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas to Disney's Animal Kingdom, which will be about 10 minutes or so. To the other theme parks - Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios - you can expect bus travel time to typically be around 30 minutes, though sometimes it might be more. While this may seem long, remember that park of the charm of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas is their relative seclusion from the rest of Walt Disney World Resort. We also consider the bus ride as the start of our adventure for the day. We enjoy talking to other guests during our travels, or talking to each other about what we'll do that day.
