Looking into DCL4-day Bahamas @ end of September w/3 year old. Where would be a good room selection/location option (deck, front, back, left or right of ship & room type) Thank you for this forum. Are strollers allowed on board.

    Hi Gennifer,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I think it is fantastic that you are considering a DIsney Cruise with your 3-year old.  In my experience a cruise is one of the easiest vacations you can take with a pre-schooler.  There are ample activities, swimming and wonderful fresh food at your disposal all the time!

When sailing on the Disney Wonder with a little one I prefer to have a higher deck (like decks 5, 6 & 7) and try to stay to the mid (middle) to aft (rear) part of the ship.  This enables you to have quick access up to the MIckey Pool and 24-hour beverage station on deck 9.  I also prefer having a verandah for the fresh air and opportunity to relax outside while a child sleeps.

If you are looking for an inside stateroom, there is a group of them on Deck 7 aft which offer quick access to most everything, including a little-known outside deck just down the hall (on Deck 7 aft), which wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors close by to your stateroom.

Now all that being said, one of my favorite locations is on deck 5 forward.  The deluxe oceanview staterooms are amazing!  I found this location very quiet, which is perfect when you have a child that still naps.  Initially I was more comfortable NOT having a verandah with a little one, because it enabled another level of relaxation for me while in our stateroom.

As for strollers, you can bring them onboard however I suggest that you limit it to a small or umbrella stroller.  There is not a lot of room to store a large stroller.

    I hope this helps!
