I was looking at the DCL site and noticed a great FL resident discount. Too late for me to use this year but is this a discount that is offered often? Also, which cruise would you recommend for a first timer (me, DH & 3yo DD)? Thanks!

You are so fortunate to be able to take advantage of Florida Resident discounts!

In order to take advantage of these discounts, you’ll need a flexible schedule and be willing to book your vacation 3 months or less ahead of the sailing date. Typically Florida Resident rates have been released 30-75 days prior to the sailing date. For example, May rates were released in March.

Currently, there are some June sailing dates on the Disney Wonder offering the Florida Resident discount. I would highly recommend an Authorized Disney travel planner to help you watch for discounts. I highly recommend Enchanted Destinations, Dreams Unlimited and Mouse Fan Travel. I’ve used all of these agencies for my own vacations. You’ll find more information on discounts at www.mousesavers.com.

For first time cruisers, I would recommend the four night cruise.  You’ll sail to Nassau and beautiful Castaway Cay. In addition, you’ll get a relaxing day at sea. This is the perfect itinerary to see how your family adjusts to a vacation at sea. Captain Mickey truly provides a magical voyage!
