Ahoy Jennifer –
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are so excited to hear about your plans for an adventure with Disney Cruise Line, and we are happy to help you with your concerns. I was particularly enthusiastic about your question because 2 months ago I went on the Disney Wonder with my 11 ¼ year old. My pirate crew has sailed many cruises where our pirate fairy had plenty of fun in the
Oceaneer Club, and we worried about her transition to
Edge. The good news is that she did not have to choose one club or the other. Every day, we consulted our Personal Navigator of activities and our pirate fairy princess would decide which club she would like to visit and when.
In Edge, she was able to check herself in and out – but we were not comfortable with her roaming the ship so we gave her strict instructions about where to go if she checked herself out. She made lifelong friends in Edge, made crafts, played games, and they even had a “Homecoming Dance” that she was excited to dress up for. When my husband and I wanted some time in Palo, we could check her into the Oceaneer Club to enjoy some playtime in a place which has a lot to offer children of all ages. Jennifer, I believe that your pirate crew will enjoy having the ability to go back and forth between the clubs and find the fun wherever they are. Thank you for coming to visit us here and please return to see us again soon!
