What a fun Sweet 16 celebration you’re planning for your daughter! You’re definitely going to earn some major Cool Mom points with this one, as it will be such a memorable and unique birthday! I’ve celebrated many of my daughter’s birthdays on board, and each one is so special. I would be happy to answer your question regarding packages for birthday celebrations and groups.
While there isn’t currently a designated package for groups and/or celebrations, I recommend that you check out the
Special Offers page to see if you qualify for any that are currently available. I also advise to keep checking the Special Offers page often, as Disney Cruise Line is constantly releasing new ones!
If your daughter and her friends are staying in separate staterooms, you will need to reserve each stateroom separately and then link them together in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. This lets Disney Cruise Line know that you’re sailing together as one large group and should therefore be seated together at dinner.
As far as celebrating a birthday on board, there are multiple ways this can be done! After reserving your cruise and once you’re within your
booking window, you can arrange for your stateroom to be decorated with Disney Cruise Line birthday decorations in the
Onboard Gifts section of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. She’ll walk into the stateroom on the first day of your cruise to find a stateroom decked out in birthday decor!
You can also indicate that you’re celebrating a birthday on board in the “Special Requests” section of your reservation in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App under “Special Requests” and then “Celebrations”. Your Dining Team will help you celebrate with a special included birthday dessert during one evening at your Rotational Dining restaurant. If you would also like to purchase a special Mickey or Minnie Cake for her in the Onboard Gifts section, you can do so. I love the chocolate Mickey Cake because it’s so delicious!
If you choose to sail on one of the ships in the Wish class (Disney Wish, Disney Destiny, or Disney Treasure), you can make a special reservation for her at
Untangled Salon. Here, you’ll find a large selection of hair, nail and skincare appointments that she and her friends would love to do together!
Your daughter and her friends will love the teen Youth Club,
Vibe, because there are tons of activities for them all day and evening long! My teen loves spending her afternoons hanging out at the Youth Clubs or competing in a game of Disney Trivia or Family Karaoke! Once on board, you can find the entire list of the activities taking place at Vibe and around the ship in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, under the “Daily Plans” section.
